The moulded board is a flat product which uses unsaturated polyester resin glass fiber sheet moulding compound (SMC) as its base material, the SMC must be moulded and formed. It has good mechanical strength, good flame resistance, electrical leakage resistance, arc resistance and dielectrical strength, high voltage resistance, low water absorption, stable dimension deviation and small bending deflection. This product is suitable for making all kinds of insulating board of high and low voltage switchgear, it is also suitable for making other insulating structural parts and components.

2   Technical requirements

2.1  Appearance

Its surface should be flat and smooth, free of bubbles, dents and obvious mechanical damage. The colour of its surface should be even, free of obvious exposed fiber. Free of obvious contamination and impurity. Free of obvious sinks, delamination and crackle. The product is processed completely. If there are defects on the appearance of the product, they can be patched. The superabundant atom ashes must be cleaned.

2.2.3  The dimension of D371-A, D371-B accords with the requirements of technical drawing provided by the customers, the tolerance of H15, h15, js15 is adopted for those tolerance without notes and illustrations.

2.3    Index of deformation

2.3.1  The bending deflection of D370 is no more than the stipulation in Form 4.

3  Testing methods

3.1   Appearance

      Appearance should be checked by visual observation.

3.2    Dimensions

3.2.1 

If the length and width are no more than 500mm,use vernier caliper to test. If the length and width are more than 500mm and less than 1000mm, use ruler with precision of 0.5mm. If the length and width are more than 1000mm,use the tape with precision of 1mm to test, measure 3 points to get the average value.

3.2.2 

The thickness is tested as per Clause 3 in Testing Method of Insulating Laminated Sheet for electric purpose, its standard number is GB 5130-1985,among them the deviation of two points can be out of the range of deviation.

3.3 Index of deformation

Put the product on the platform, arbitrarily measure the largest distance between the bottom edge of the moulded board and the platform with the steel ruler with the precision of 0.5mm.

3.4   Specimen treatment and testing condition.

As per Clause 3 of JB 3961-1985.

3.5  Density

As per Clause A of GB 1033-1885.

3.6  Bending strength

The dimension of the specimen is (80mm±1mm)×(10mm±0.5mm)×(4mm±0.2mm),altogether 5 specimens are needed. Others are as per chapter 6 of GB 5130-1985.

3.7   Insulating electric resistance.

Specimen: rectangular solid of 75mm×50mm, get two pieces from MD and two from TD. The diameter of electrode is 5mm, the electrode is metal taper pin electrode and its center-to-center spacing between two holes is 25mm. The testing procedure of insulating electric resistance when it is submerged in water is as the following: put the specimen into distilled water with the temperature of 23±2℃ for 24h, then take it out and wipe the moisture of the surface. Within 5 minutes drill holes and install electrode. Others are as per GB 10064-1989.

3.8  Dielectrical strength(it is suitable for D371-B with width of more than 100mm)

The dimension of the specimen after being machined: The length is 100mm±1mm, the width is 100mm±1mm, its thickness is processed to 3mm±0.2mm from one side, altogether 5 specimens are needed, the successive and even step-up method is adopted for the test in the transformer oil at 90℃. Testing equipment, testing procedure and result should be as per GB 1408-1989.

3.9   Voltage resistance

3.9.1  The test of voltage resistance of D370 in the air for 1 min.

Testing specimen: 3 complete big board. The dimension of electrode: the top electrode is 25mm, the bottom electrode is 75mm, the test is carried out in the air and the rate of raising voltage is about 2kv/s. The testing point is more than 30cm away from the edge, the distance between two points is no less than 35mm. Altogether two points should be tested, if one point does not accord with requirement, another 3 boards are tested, repeat the testing items. If one point still does not accord with the index, the boards of the whole batch are regarded unqualified. Others are as per GB1408-1989.

3.9.2  The test of voltage resistance of D371-A in the air for 1 min.

Testing specimen: 3 complete templates.

The dimension of electrode: the top electrode and the bottom electrode are copper material of 25mm. The test is carried out in the air and the rate of raising voltage is about 2kv/s. The testing point is 10cm away from the edge, the distance between two points is no less than 30mm. Altogether two points should be tested, if one point does not accord with requirement, another 3 boards are tested, repeat the testing items. If one point still does not accord with the index, the boards of the whole batch are regarded unqualified. Others are as per GB 1408-1989.

3.10  Arc resistance.

The dimension of the specimen machined: Its length is 100mm±1mm, its width is 100mm±1mm, it is square solid, altogether 3 specimens are tested, others are as per GB 1411-1978.

3.11 The index of leakage tracking resistance.

The dimension of the specimen : Its length is 100mm±1mm, its width is 100mm±1mm, it is square solid, altogether 3 specimens are tested, others are as per GB 4207-1984 of PTI method.

3.12 Flammability(FV method)

The dimension of the specimen after it is machined: its length is 125mm±5mm,its width is 13.0mm±0.3mm,its thickness is machined to 3.0mm±0.2mm from one side, the number of the specimen and other samples are as per chapter 9 of GB11020-1989. Accumulate the data of the specimen with the length of 125mm±5mm and the width of 13.0mm±0.3mm

5 Test, marks, package, transportation and storage

4.3  Every batch should be tested before disbatch. The testing items include Item 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and Item 5 in Form 5 of 4.4 of the technical requirements. Among them, Item 4.1,4.2 and 4.3 should be checked one by one.

4.6  Considering the requirement of the customers, the testing method of voltage resistance is negotiable according to specific products.

5.1  For the specification of 2000mm×1000mm, it is packed by two-layer corrugated paper board in the interior, it is packed by wood case or pallet for the outside, its weight is no more than 500kg. For the specification of 1200mm×1000mm, it is packed by two-layer corrugated paper board or pallet, then it is tied up by metal strap outside, its weight is no more than 500kg.

5.2  D371-A, D371-B are packed by carton with two-layer corrugated paper board, their top and bottom are clamped by plank, then it is tied up by metal strap outside. Its weight is no more than 60kg.

5.3  The product should be placed on underlay plates with a height of more than 5cm from the floor in a clean and dry storage room where the temperature is below 40℃, it should be far from fire and heat sources and sunshine. The storage life shall be 18 months after leaving factory, if the product has been stored more than 18 months, they may still be used after being tested to be qualified.
